Description

  • BETA version for earlier adopters, researchers, etc.
  • Carries heavy/bulky items up and down stairs
  • Maximum payload: 25 kg (55 lbs)
  • Navigates autonomously
The Quantum Robotic Systems ROSA (Robotic Stairclimbing Assistant) BETA is a special introductory release of our stairclimbing robot, which used patented technology to traverse stairs while always remaining level. ROSA BETA is meant for early adopters, robotics researchers, product developers, makers, etc., who want to experiment with a stairclimbing platform immediately, understanding the risks of being among the first to use a new technology. Accordingly, we are offering ROSA BETA at a heavily discounted introductory price for a limited time. ROSA BETA was designed to lift 100 lbs in total, including its own weight. This means 55 lbs is available to lift a payload. The ROSA concept was originally developed to help seniors and people with mobility issues overcome the hazards of carrying things while using stairs. Letting ROSA carry these things instead, the user is free to hold on to the handrails. ROSA can also help offload caregivers. Outside the home, ROSA offers an attractive solution for movers, couriers, delivery companies, etc. Because ROSA BETA is built upon a QBii platform, it inherits all of QBii’s autonomous capabilities. ROSA BETA can therefore navigate from room to room by itself, following pre-programmed paths defined within the QRS Control App. ROSA BETA is controlled using an Android tablet or phone. (NOTICE: ROSA BETA must not be used to carry people or animals.)
